Impact Ignite: Fit-to-Vote Campaign Kick-off Fashion Show

This event kicks off a multi-county campaign aimed at boosting youth voter participation through events, activities, and strategic outreach. It is part of the Impact Ignite initiative. Fit-to-Vote is a creative and art-centric campaign centered around outfits and apparel reflecting support for issues such as social justice, women’s rights, and more. The campaign aims to wield the power of art to encourage voter participation and drive positive change. The event will host vendors, light refreshments, and a silent auction with eye-catching items for those who seek to vote in style.

“We are trying to round up as many attendees as we can!” said Zoie Roberson, Youth Caucus Chair, Madison County Democratic Party. “Next weekend will be the start of the DNC—a historical event in which a woman of color will be the Democratic nominee. We must all come together as a community to uplift this milestone, regardless of party affiliation. This is a historic moment for people of color and women, and we are not going back. We encourage attendees to arrive in a Fit-to-Vote, which is an outfit that represents a political issue or sentiment dear to them specifically. Let your outfit be a social/political statement. Be creative with this if you can!”
